Save a Jumbo recipe

A supermarket recipe is often the practical one — the ingredients are things you can actually get. It just should not have to live inside the supermarket.

Recipes from more than one supermarket

Most people are not loyal about this. You cook a Jumbo recipe on Tuesday and an Allerhande one on Thursday, and neither app wants to show you the other.

Here they are just items. Same list, same search, same tags — and the source stays visible on each one, so you always know where it came from.

Read the same way as any recipe site

There is nothing special here: the page publishes a structured recipe block and we read it. Ingredients, steps, cuisine when it is stated, cooking time and servings.

If the page changes and something comes across empty, the refresh button re-reads it later without overwriting anything you typed.

Comes across

  • The photo
  • Title
  • Ingredients and steps
  • Cooking time and servings

An example, worked out. The app does not run on this page.

Finding it back later

Searching covers everything on an item: the title, the ingredients, the steps, the cuisine, the city, your notes and your own tags. So you can look for what you remember, which is rarely the title.

On top of that: filter by recipe or place, by want-to-try or done, by cuisine, by city, by collection or by tag. Those filters are built from your own library, so they only ever show what you actually have.

And when you have made it

One tap marks a recipe cooked or a place visited. A score and a note are optional, and a repeat is a new entry rather than an overwrite — the second time you make something is information too.

Out of that, and nothing else, a taste profile builds up: your cuisines, your cities, your recurring occasions. Counted from what you did, not guessed at.

Questions

Is this made by Jumbo?
No, there is no affiliation. It reads a public recipe page, the same as a search engine.
Can I group recipes for one week?
Collections do that. An item can be in more than one, and a collection is just a grouping — there is no meal planner or calendar.
Do prices come across?
No. Ingredients come across as text; nothing is priced and nothing is ordered.

A save never fails: the link, the title and the image are guaranteed, and everything on top of that is a bonus you can correct.
