You can have your Rypzy account deleted whenever you want, and everything you saved goes with it. Below: how to ask for it, what happens during the 14 days after, and exactly what is erased and what is not.
If you can sign in
Deleting is a button in the app. Open your profile page, go to “Delete account” at the bottom, and confirm once. The grace period starts right away.

Start with a new password. That gets almost everyone back in, and from there the button above is the quickest way.
Request a reset linkNot working either? Email contact@rypzy.com from the address your account is on — that address is how we know it is you. One line is enough: that you want your account deleted. Cannot send from that address any more? Then write which address the account is on, and we will check before we delete anything.
We then put in the same request you would have made yourself: you are gone for other people right away, and after 14 days the daily job erases everything below. You get a confirmation with the date on it, and until that date one reply is enough to call it off.

From that moment you are gone for everyone else: your profile can no longer be opened, your experiences disappear from your friends’ activity and from the source line on the items they saved from you, and nobody can follow you. That does not wait — it is what “my account is gone” means to other people.
Your own side stays complete, so that cancelling is really cancelling and not “half of it is already gone”. That is what the 14 days are for.
During that time a bar sits on every page in the app with the date and a button to keep the account after all. That button is the only way to call it off — signing in again on its own changes nothing. Asking a second time does not move the date either.
After 14 days
A job runs once a day and permanently deletes every account whose 14 days are up. Because it runs once a day, the real deletion happens somewhere in the 24 hours after that.
What goes: your account and your sign-in details, everything in your library (your saves with their notes, tags, ingredients, steps and addresses), your collections, your experiences with their scores and context tags, your profile, everyone you follow and everyone who follows you, your invitations, the blocks you set and the reports you filed — and your photos. Both the rows in the database and the files in storage, not a flag on a row. A share link you handed out stops working at the same moment.
We keep no copy of our own. Our database provider holds recovery points for a short period, as any database does; those expire on their own and we do not use them to bring an account back.
What does not disappear
An item someone saved from you is their copy, in their library, and it stays there. Your name stays on it as the source — that is a snapshot taken the moment they saved it, and after your deletion it no longer points at an account.
Did someone report your content? That report stays in the moderation queue, with the reason and whatever they typed to explain it. A decision has to remain traceable, and the report is theirs rather than yours; what it points at no longer exists once you are deleted.
The counters we use to stop anyone hammering the service hold IP addresses, not accounts, so they are not deleted along with yours. They are wiped within a week regardless of who they belonged to.
The waitlist on rypzy.com is a separate list with an email address on it, from before there was an account. Deleting your account does not take you off it; unsubscribing from that list is its own thing.
Less than everything
You do not have to delete your account to get rid of something. A save, an experience or a single photo can go on its own, in the app, and the files go with it right away.
